Jenni Choi is a marketing/sales manager for tech startup NextPlay.ai, an advisory board member for the arts nonprofit Ensemble Mik Nawooj, and a freelance writer -- with a passion for social justice, communications, networking, and Tech for Good.
She formerly worked as a journalist for The Baltimore Sun and The Baltimore Sun Media Group, and has worked for several domestic and international nonprofits -- in capacities ranging from case work and communications to policy advocacy and fundraising. She previously interned for The Congregation of the Mission’s UN Office, working on their behalf to advocate for policies combating extreme poverty and wide-ranging consequences of climate change. She also worked as an educator and Web Developer, and helped architect and launch the Women Techmakers membership program -- part of Google’s global initiative to empower women in tech. In her spare time, Jenni enjoys volunteering, traveling, reading, and writing creatively.
Jenni holds an M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University and a B.A. in English (with a minor in Spanish) from The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Originally from Maryland, she now splits her time between Austin, TX and Northern California.
