Neeshad is an environmental educator, speaker, and a social change advocate.
He campaigns extensively to raise awareness about climate change and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He holds a master’s degree in environmental engineering and resides in Doha, Qatar. His continuous enthusiasm for environment advocacy and women empowerment led him to be the focal point for various regional and international NGOs in the Middle East.
Neeshad has over 5+ years of experience analyzing global environmental and climate politics. He participated in UNFCCC negotiations and has been involved in various conferences and summits for civil society, advocating the importance of Arab youth as partners for climate action. An active member of several global environmental youth groups, he has contributed actively in international summits: Young World Ambassador, Global Youth Climate Network Ambassador, Institute for Economics. His skill set includes cognizance of international climate instruments and environmental treaties, standards, and tools of greenhouse gas management and climate mitigation and adaptation schemes.
He currently serves in many roles and organizations, including co-founder and executive director at Arab Youth Climate Movement Qatar, Middle East Officer at CliMates, One Peace Ambassador 2018, Founding Member at Climate Action Network Arab World and Youth Climate Lab, Liaison Officer at Citizens Climate Lobby, Fellow-Amazon Summer School, Steering Committee of Coalition WILD and Global Shaper Doha Hub at World Economic Forum.
