After leaving college in 2006, Abeselom joined the academic and administrative world in different capacities inside Admas University, Gage College, and Babbage Technology College.
After a one year entrepreneurship at GTZ Austria, he decided to establish his own company, Mapart Ab, a cleaning service, in 2009. He then co-founded the Society of Ethiopian Social Entrepreneurs (SESE) the first Social Entrepreneurship society in Ethiopia and currently serves as their chartering director.
In 2011, Abeselom was selected as one of the top 25 young Ethiopian leaders by Fredrick Steftung. This journey led him to be part of the Young Leadership Training Program (YLTP). The same year, he published his first book, “Improve Marketing and Business Skill” into Amharic, a local and national working language.
He specializes in equity financing, corporate leadership, marketing and human resources. As a founder of ET capital and investment (a start-up company working closely with other start-ups), he is involved in different national and international projects as a marketing expert.
After being selected as 2015`s Child and Youth Financial International (CYFI) National Champion for organizing Global Money Week in Ethiopia, he was invited to share his experience in Accra, Ghana, during the CYFI 4th regional conference .
Yosef is a Human rights activist and was once a refugee himself.
